Dear Ms. Durham: Although this letter of recommendation has been too long in coming I wanted to assure you that I am as happy today with my decision as I was the day I hired Air Advantage to respond to the huge water damage and mold problem that I encountered with one of my Norfolk properties. For those who would read this letter in the future let me digress a little.
In July of 2006 I experienced a major freak water leak in a newly renovated property that I own in Norfolk, Virginia. When the leak was discovered almost 30,000 gallons of water had poured through the home starting in the second floor bathroom. When I walked into the home to inspect it the ceilings were on the floor, the beautiful original heart of pine floors were warped, the cabinets were ruined, the walls were soaked and mold had started to set in on everything. Needless to say I was devastated.
I immediately called a local well known water/damage and mold Remediation Company to come and look at the property. I was totally unprepared for the lack of professionalism that I received from their representative and felt like I had a big target on my back with a big dollar sign in the middle of it. I did not sleep much that night worrying that I had made a mistake signing up with that first company so I got out of bed at 4:00 in the morning and started doing a Google search for a water/damage and mold remediation company that I could get a second opinion from.
After doing some extensive searching and self education I ended up calling Leslie Hanson of Air Advantage whom I had found online. I chose her company because their mission statement and philosophy spoke about their commitment to their clients and doing the job right the first time. At this point I will tell you that calling her was the best decision I could have made. She and her Project Supervisor, Bevan Brinkley, came right over from Newport News on a Friday afternoon in the worst traffic that you can imagine just to do an inspection not knowing that she would even get the job. By the end of the inspection I had no doubt that I had made the right decision by choosing Leslie and her company for the arduous task of gutting the house treating the mold and rebuilding the home.
I immediately called the other company back and canceled my work order.
Over the following months Leslie and company did exactly what she said they would do, exactly when they said that they would and in the end was almost exactly the numbers as quoted at the onset. It is amazing to me in this day and time for a company to hit all three marks on target. I would not hesitate at all to recommend Air Advantage to anyone needing this type of work. I would also like to thank Jason Pipkin and from State Farm for their helping me through this difficult time as well as who did an incredible rebuild on the property. This was a classic horror story that had a happy ending because of all the people mentioned above. I would like to thank Air Advantage for doing such a great job and personally thank Leslie Hanson for being the wonderful business person that she is.

REVIEW: Air Advantage came out to my home to inspect a mold problem. After the initial consultation and after the problem was discussed with me I received a quote. When the actual work was done it was not as bad as originally thought by Air Advantage and myself. Air Advantage lowered their final bill by 33%. When mold is present a company can use scare tactics to get the consumer to pay the piper; however, with Air Advantage this was not the case, Their people are professional, courteous and honorable, which is admirable in this day and age.
